About us

UGL Sardegna, beside those who work

Representation, protection and services for workers, pensioners and citizens across the island.

What is UGL?

UGL, the Unione Generale del Lavoro, is a confederal trade-union organisation that puts working people at its centre. It recognises the specific nature of each sector and area, but pursues general aims, going beyond purely sectoral or economic demands. UGL Sardegna is the regional structure of the Confederation and represents its values and action across the island.

What does it do?

UGL is among the most representative trade-union organisations in Italy. It brings together workers and pensioners, without distinction, protecting their rights in the world of work, and promotes forms of self-protection and solidarity against all social exclusion. Membership is voluntary and entails accepting the principles of the statute. In Sardinia it offers assistance, services and representation through its local offices and sectoral federations.
